From the ArtistAt this moment, I was struggling in motherhood: trying to balance raising two small children while feeling the worst I’ve felt in years. Moving and eating were a struggle, and in brief moments when those feelings subsided, I’d berate myself for not being the mother I wanted to be. To say I needed a bit of hope and perspective is an understatement.
This sunrise, this literal light carving through the darkness, was a moment that stopped me in my tracks. Demanded my full attention in a way that allowed all those other worries to fall away—just for a moment. And it’s incredible what even that small reset, that little moment of hope in a dark season, can do for you.
